Buick first introduced the Envision as a special entry into the Chinese market in the autumn of 2014. When they re-analyzed their offerings in the U.S. market, however, they noticed that there was an integral opening that the compact SUV could fill perfectly. In 2016, the manufacturer brought the Envision to the U.S. in an effort to bridge the lineup gap between the Enclave and the Encore.
