It costed me more than I told it would be. The parts department ordered my parts and told me that the installation would be $140 and failed to tell me that it was $140 an HOUR.

I’m always pleased when I bring my car in to have it serviced, Every one is Always friendly and curious. One of the clerk showed me how to pull up my apps to see how much money I can save and to my surprise I got $75.00 off of my service on Thursday so what would have cost me $89.00 only cost me $11.95 . So yes I was truly happy.

I brought my truck in for the oil change and crankcase inspection recall. Everything was okay and the heavier viscosity oil was added. I was unaware that a service upgrade was pending for the ECM which was also done. I had not reviewed the ticket upon receiving my vehicle but did immediately notice the performance difference when leaving the dealership. I realized after reading the service ticket why the vehicle seemed to be running so much better. Thumbs up to the Barker Service group.

This is not the first time this has happened. When I got my vehicle back every mirror was rearranged, radio station changed, seat pushed so far back I could’ve taken a nap. No need to do all this for an oil change. Makes me wonder what else is being messed with in my vehicle.

I went in to get a tire replaced/fixed for my vehicle on Friday 5th which was under warranty. Appointment was at 2:30 and when I left at 3:45 I was told they would order me a tired because they did not have one to replace in stock. It will take about 2 days for tire to arrive, so I left in a donut I arrived with. I was told I would get. Call when tire arrived and today is the 13th and still have not been reached out to about my tire.

Due to a shortage of techs in the service department, I waited 90 minutes for an oil change appointment that didn’t happen. I offered to wait another hour and was told that it would be impossible to have my vehicle ready by then. I chose to take my vehicle since I had to pick up my granddaughter in Thibodaux. After speaking with the John the service manager he said that if anything changed that he would call me and get the oil changed. He did call and had me return about an hour later. The service was done quickly. I realize that it’s difficult to find qualified labor especially those with a positive work ethic.

Communication can be improved. I dropped my truck off Sunday night for a Monday morning appointment. I received 1 phone call Monday evening around 4 that my truck was not ready and needed the body shop. I called and texted Tuesday but no responses. I was notified on Wednesday that my truck needed the body shop and Gay couldn’t say when it would be ready. No estimate of time. She said she couldn’t tell me. After several calls my truck was scheduled to be ready on Thursday. The timeframe is not the issue the lack of communication is the problem.

Over all good. Only wish when they change the windshield with only 307 miles on the truck that they would have at least put a new inspection sticker. They scraped the one off the old windshield and installed it on the new windshield. It only only cost $20 dollars. 🤦🏻♂️

Let me start by saying that Brent Rome is the absolute best! He handles business and has great communication throughout the entire process. Keeping it honest, I was reluctant to bring my vehicle back to Barker's service team because of past experiences that were less than desirable. Brent totally changed my experience for the better. He was able to get me in a loaner vehicle so that I wasn't inconvenienced by not having my vehicle because he understood and cared that I have three kids all involved in activities after school. We are always on the road. Brent kept in contact with me almost daily to keep me in the loop on what was happening. He was also available to help when another sensor went off on my vehicle. He made sure I was taken care of in a timely manner.

My wife and I just purchased 2 vehicles from Barker. My GMC truck has only 5600 miles on it. About 1500 miles in I noticed a small bump on the bottom of the driver side door. I called Barker and they told me that when I came in to do my first service they would look at it. It is 1.5 away from home. Once they looked at it they said that it was something that hit the inside of the door. The bump in not a dent it is a bump from the inside of the door. The bump is inline with the rubber gasket. If what your service personal says happened the rubber gasket would have a tear since it is big bump. And it would have to have been a horizontal hit. Plus there is no intention on the inside of the door even to where the bump is. My sales lady Bonnie wouldn’t help, the service advisor dismissed me and the body shop guy also. I will be contacting GMC as this is not good service and it is clear something caused the bump from inside the door. Check the record we purchased2 vehicles from barker within 4 months because we assumed we would get good service.

The last time that I brought my vehicle in for service the dealership passed me off and said that they did not hear the noise in the front end. This time the dealership charged me over $80 to tell me that the tires are bad, and I needed to buy new tires. Obviously, they did not put it on the rack to look at them because you can clearly see that they have plenty of tread left. The dealership doesn't want to take the time to figure out what is wrong with the vehicle and instead pass blame on the tires to get you out of the door. The least they could've done was rotate the tires to say that they did something.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand how frustrating ongoing noise concerns can be, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify what was addressed during your visit. During your most recent service, the vehicle was road‑tested and inspected by a technician and our shop foreman for the front‑end noise you described. We want to be clear that your concern was taken seriously, and our personnel followed the exact diagnostic process requested to identify the source of the noise. The inspection determined the noise to be caused by irregular tire wear, commonly referred to as tire chopping, and no faults were found with the suspension, steering, wheel bearings, or driveline components at that time. These findings were consistent with results from prior inspections as well. Your vehicle is equipped with aftermarket wheels and more aggressive‑style tires. While these setups can perform well in certain driving conditions, they can also be more prone to uneven wear patterns, which may produce humming or grinding noises even when tread depth appears acceptable. Regarding the tire rotation, our dealership policy does not allow us to rotate tires on vehicles equipped with aftermarket wheels. This policy is in place to ensure safety and to operate within our service and liability guidelines. When a requested service cannot be completed per policy, it is documented rather than performed improperly. We value your business and would be glad to review this concern further with you. It was good. Only thing I have to say is after paying $3000.00 for repairs. I had to go back in the service department and ask someone to come out side and look at the unfinished job! She called the shop Forman and he came out and finished the job. I asked, is this what $3000.00 worth. So at the end of the day, maybe someone should sign off on the job saying it is complete. Also in the back of my mind I am wondering and hoping everything I can’t see is correct.

I did not enjoy nothing about your service department when I first went to set the appointment for my vehicle the guy that made the appointment was so RUDE then I drop off my truck too get service at 9:30 at 5:15 they call and say my truck wasn’t seen and I can bring it back at a later time then they changed my warranty and got paid for work they didn’t do and my truck still sounds like the springs bouta pop off on a 2026 terrain might I add no call no apology that bad customer service

I had a oil change and tire rotation with an appointment one day at 2 when i got there ..they told me it was a 2 or 3 hour wait ...which if I had known it would take that long i would have rescheduled it and planned around it I was disappointed and did not expect that it took them that long to do something simple..wish they could have communicated it better with me even if they knew it was going to take that long definitely a pain to reschedule ... i had to change my appointment for another day the waiting time was a lot better and they did it in a reasonable time .. whoever took my truck to the front after it was done definitely needed to use some kind of protective cover on my seat because I had some oil ,dirt and an awful smell ..I'm guessing from their sweat..

Dwayne Chiasson made in Houma made the experience seamless. In just under three hours, I was driving away in the exact vehicle I had been looking at online. He ensured that I understood the rebates, going line by line. He facilitated my trade in process, which was a major factor in moving forward. Jerry, the sales manager, was incredibly efficient in getting me a fair value and found time to sit down with me to discuss the process. Dwayne explained all of the vehicle features, took me for a test drive, and connected me to the OnStar sales rep. Dwayne answered all of my calls promptly, even outside business hours. Chris explained the financing breakdown, providing different rate schedules from which to choose. He was patient and very friendly. From this experience, future vehicles will certainly be looked at carefully with Barker GMC team and especially with Dwayne Chiasson.

I went in for a scheduled oil change & tires rotated. There was also an update that needed to be done. I waited 3 hours for this all to be done. After an hour and a 1/2 I asked what was taking so long and they told the update took an hour then I waited another additional hour and a 1/2. They also said they would run my car through the car was and that did not happen. When I left and got 10 minutes down the road my alerts started going off saying that "Service: The Monitor System". My tire pressures were all over the place, one was not picking up and the other 3 was 38, 38, and 46. My husband said I never should have been allowed to leave with the pressures being so different. Had to bring my car to my son in laws to figure out how to reset the system. Not a great experience. Everyone was super nice there, but the 3 hour wait and issues with tire system upon leaving was not great.

I fell in love with the Buick Envista but seemed to be hard to locate one. I spoke with 2 sales people over a period of a month and no follow up. It took 2 hours for an oil change; my appointment was at 7:30 am. I was supposed to have tire rotation as well and service technician made decision it had spacers on tires they wasn' t going to rotate my tires, after speaking with advisor the spacers were installed by Barker GMC. The service tech changes the work order without notifying the advisor and ask question. Stayed in lobby almost 3 hours for a simple oil change and tire rotation.

I had an appointment for 1130 am . I did not get out until 2:20 pm . When I pulled up, my key was in the vehicle and ac on . They had the pleasure of ac on the vehicle was cool and comfy . Getting the vehicle back wasn’t the same for me . also they normally would pass it through the car wash. They did not do that either. Not sure why make an appointment if it’s going to take 2 hours to get an oil change . Very disappointing

I went to get my oil changed and it got done. The ladies where great especially who helped me. She was trying to help me with my electronic issues I was having but there wasn't anyone available to fix it. I left the dealership and had a major problem my brake indactor came on and my truck brakes where activated. Thats why I gave a low score because the lack of techs and they are not even telling the ladies who get the tickets yiur vehicle is ready yiur just sitting there. Waiting and if yiu don't ask you would be still sitting . When yiur under staff people don't care and your service will not be good. I also went to see about getting this paint fixed on my bumper and the manger from the paint shop said it was an impact and it wasn't I used the touch up that was given to me to cover it up because it was ugly and he refused to fix it and I have that warranty for what if I could not get that fix and itvwasnt even that big

Vehicle was repaired quickly and correctly. Communication was great throughout the process. Only issue is even though truck was 3,000 miles out of 36,000 miles but only slightly over a year old why are we even talking about extended warranty on a $90,000 truck with a bad ac compressor? This should have been repaired free of charge and not worry about extended warranty and having to pay labor that the warranty didn’t cover.
