The 2020 GMC Canyon receives only minor updates for the year. However, some of these updates will definitely have you noticing a difference from the 2019 model to this one. Drivers of the 2020 GMC Canyon can choose between six unique trim levels: SL, base Canyon, SLE, All-Terrain, SLT, and Denali. As far as engine options go, you can choose from three: a 2.5-liter fourcylinder, a 3.6-liter V6, and a 1.8-liter four-cylinder. The GMC Canyon was launched in the North American market in 2004. The truck replaced GMC’s Sonoma as a midsized offering designed for those who didn’t quite need full-size truck power and size. This decision proved to be ill-timed as the market was beginning to trend towards compact crossovers and utility type vehicles. General Motors corrected its course in 2015 and re-released the GMC Canyon.
